Duration: 3 days
The Civil 3D Fundamentals training course covers the essential and core topics for working with Civil 3D software.
Topics covered include:
- Introduction to Civil 3D
- UI tour
- Introduction to styles
- Point files and point groups
- Surface creation, modification, and manipulation
- Land development with parcels
- Modelling new terrain
- Geometric design – horizontal design
- Geometric design – vertical design
- Geometric design – corridor design
- Quantity calculations and cross sections
- Gravity pipe network modelling and analysis
- Pressure network modelling
- Production drafting and drawing layouts
Prerequisites:
Attendees will need experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and an understanding of civil engineering terminology. Experience with the Windows operating system is also required.
Certification:
Once attendees complete a course evaluation, an Autodesk certificate of completion is issued. You must complete the evaluation within thirty days of the course to receive the certification.
Duration: 2 days
The Civil 3D Advanced course is for civil engineers and surveyors who want to extend their mastery of Civil 3D’s dynamic design functionality. This course covers sophisticated techniques on how to model complex road corridors and pipe models, and perform grading and volume calculation tasks more effectively and efficiently.

- Advanced alignment
- Advanced profile
- Advanced corridor modelling
- Subdivision grading
- Parking lot design
- Intersection design tools
- Roundabouts
- Pipe networks
- Plan production tools
- Overview of Autodesk subassembly composer
Prerequisites:
Those attending will require a level of Civil 3D competency equal to that of the Civil 3D Fundamentals course.
Certification:
Once attendees complete a course evaluation, an Autodesk certificate of completion is issued. You must complete the evaluation within thirty days of the course to receive the certification.
